If you're keen to be green then you've gotta be seen at this weekend's EarthFair and Green Apple Festival in New York. It all takes place on Vanderbilt Avenue alongside the Grand Central Terminal in midtown Manhattan.

This week New York sees the start of the 2008 Gen Art Film Festival which premieres seven films from some of the most talented new directors in America. Starting on April 2nd through to the 8th, screenings of a main feature followed by a short film start at 7.30pm after which there is a party, yes every night in a different venue.

The opening night for the film showings is at the Ziegfield Theater and the rest are on at the Visual Arts Theater. The program is as follows:

No visit to New York would be complete without a trip to the city's most famous department store. Located in Herald Square at the intersection for Broadway and Sixth Avenue at 34th Street, Macy's has been serving the public since 1902 and is one of the last turn of the century stores left in America.
